Travels with Bibi

Discover 25 scenic alternative routes to the boring white-line daze of interstate driving. See jaw-dropping natural wonders, unique roadside attractions, and best-kept local secrets that lie just off the interstates while enjoying picturesque Tucson, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, or Santa Fe.

Writer, photographer, and veteran road trip enthusiast Rick Quinn ventured out over the course of the summer and fall of 2016, and drove 11,000 miles through Arizona and New Mexico, and shot over 7,000 stunning photographs and compiled plentiful notes while working on this debut travel book.

RoadTrip America Arizona and New Mexico: 25 Scenic Side Trips offers readers:

  • Full-color, easy-to read, detailed route maps with points of interest, mileage, and more
  • Color-coded pages for easy identification of routes by geographic region
  • Up-to-date insider tips for getting the most out of each route and staying safe on the road
  • Phone numbers, websites and visitor info for parks, attractions, and out-of-the-ordinary lodging & dining
  • Researched and written by native Arizonan and adventure traveler Rick Quinn, whose road trips have taken him from Tierra del Fuego to Alaska and San Francisco to Washington D.C. Travel writer, photographer, and anthropologist, Quinn is an expert on the geography, history, and culture of the American Southwest.

I love this travel guide as I’ve been to Arizona and New Mexico but missed many of the picturesque views and unique road trips it holds. This book definitely makes me want to go back and give every one of the detailed 25 routes a try.

Quinn does a great job directing readers to some pretty awesome scenic alternative routes from the states’ major interstate highways 10, 17 and 25.  He even prepares readers beforehand for what is needed for desert traveling along with emergency preparedness information.

You’ll never feel lost because for each scenic side trip, Quinn provides total trip miles, estimated driving time, maps, town highlights, great scenic photos and a touch of history and fun facts to go along with it all.

Travels with BibiRoadTrip America Arizona and New Mexico: 25 Scenic Side Trips would be the perfect companion for travelers that want to see unique, beautiful scenery and do off-the-beaten-path activities, and maybe even learn a bit about the history of the area in a fun way too.
