Tips For Attending

Have your heart set on hearing a particular speaker? Get to the session early. Many of the top presenters will have standing room only situations and it will be challenging to see and hear if you’re seated at the rear of the facility.

Get the best ideas of what works at a trade show. If you are planning to participate as an exhibitor at a trade show yourself, you can find successful trade show display ideas as you visit vendor booths at the Expo.

Take an empty daypack to easily carry brochures and giveaway items. Since the weather may still be a bit winter-like at the Expo you visit, use the pack to carry winter coats as some venues don’t have a coat check area.

Wear comfortable shoes and bring activities to keep the kids busy during seminar time if the family attends the Expo with you.

Booking a vacation of your own? Be sure to have a well-researched plan of action completed ahead of time. With the high number of vendors all vying for your attention, you must have an idea of any expenditure limits and a rough idea of where you want to go before you make any decisions.

Bring a notebook and pen to help you remember everything you’ve seen, or names of people you’ve talked to. Or, use your phone to take digital notes.
