Countryside Trip
If you and your mom want a break from routine, but not one that will leave either of you jet lagged on Monday morning, Boone, NC is just the ticket. Yes, I was very close to my mom too. My only regret is that she passed away many years ago and we never got to travel together as mother-daughter friends. Now that my own daughters are grown and out of the house, I take my mom with me in spirit wherever I go.

My mom & I started taking trips together while I was in college to celebrate my birthday since it lands on a holiday that majority of my family has to work. Watching her light up knowing we were to spend time together was the best gift ever.
