Travel From Home: Explore A Virtual Museum!
During this difficult time of travel bans and social distancing, be sure to take advantage of the iconic museums around the world that are offering free virtual tours.
Obviously, a virtual tour is not the same as experiencing the city and exploring different exhibits in person. However, these virtual museum tours provide a great opportunity for home travel!
You can explore a number of virtual museum tours from the comfort of your couch, even while wearing pajamas. So grab your family and some snacks and enjoy these boredom busting virtual tours.

That’s a good idea to have virtual tours of the museums
I love this concept. I haven’t done one of the virtual tours yet but It’s on my list.
Perfect! I hope you find a virtual museum tour you love.
This is awesome. I have to add it to my list of virtual tours.
I’m happy to help. Enjoy!
We haven’t done this yet, but it’s on my list of things to do – I figured we can mirror it to our TV and all enjoy it on the big screen.
Absolutely! Big screen watching would be great for the whole family.
I could watch the virtual tour of The Louvre all day!
Oh, yes, you and me both!
It’s fun revisiting museums I’ve already been and seeing new ones.
Sweet! I’m glad to help share the virtual museum love.
I’m loving all these virtual opportunities that people are sharing. It’s nice to have little exotic field trips each day.
It is amazing the great places we can see via virtual tours.
Ordinarily a virtual museum visit is not something I would be interested in – I would much rather go and visit in person. But since we’re not allowed to travel right now I’m thankful that so many places are offering virtual visits as an option. It’s a nice change of pace from being home all day, and something the kids enjoy too. I have 4 kids (age 3-11) and it’s hard finding something that will please everyone.
Yes, virtual museum tours can be incorporated in to homeschooling lessons. There are so many ways these tours could be a learning tool.
